Prosser, WA: The Heart of Washington Wine Country

Prosser Wine Country RV horses

This was our second visit to Prosser, WA, which is said to be the birthplace of the Washington wine industry. Prosser is definitely committed to their wine heritage. The town is dotted with wine tasting rooms. While driving around you may notice several of the streets have wine related names. Each year they host the Prosser Wine & Food Fair on the 2nd Saturday of August in support of Washington wineries.

This was also our second stay at Wine Country RV Park. The staff at Wine Country RV are pleasant. The park is well kept and quiet. We prefer the side of the park that is next to the horses because we love the view from our RV.

It is said that Prosser has nearly 300 days of sunshine a year. The quaint town has a few antique shops worth browsing through, plus several wineries. It even has a good coffee shop in town. And the sunsets can be amazing! Need I say more why we like to visit this town???

Of course we visited a few wineries while in town and we have to say, our favorite was Alexandria Nichole Cellars. Their tasting room is classy and their staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
